Dance with Nature
― 自然を人間化するデザインプロセスの研究 ―
自然の自発的な「はたらき」を深く理解し、自然を人間化するランドスケープデザインのプロセスを研究します。
自然の人間化といっても完全に自然を人間に順化するのではなく、両者の固有性が共存するハイブリッドな環境・場所をつくるのがランドスケープデザインの本質と考えます。
研究室では年間をとおしてメンバー全員で取組む共通テーマを設定し、フィールドワークを中心とした活動や社会実験を行います。その実践をとおして各自研究テーマの拡散と収斂を繰り返す場となる研究室を目指します。

Landscape design is about making nature more human by understanding how it works on its own.
The idea behind landscape design is not to make nature completely human.
It’s about creating places where the best of both worlds can coexist.
